British AirwaysBritish Airways is offering a £20 discount, per person, when you spend at least £100 on an Economy Euro-Traveller flight. The promotion is in conjunction with Lloyds TSB, and is meant for Lloyds TSB credit card holders, but it is unlikely that BA will be able to cross reference those that use it with Lloyds TSB’s customer database.

You must book by 12th April 2013 and travel between 1st April 2013 and 30th June 2013. Miles Mania Returns

no original description

So Miles Mania went quiet all of a sudden in the middle of last year – some family/personal stuff came up that had to be dealt with, but its all ok now, so we’re back, hoping to help us all make the most of our frequent flyer programs.

The first thing I’ve done is update the American Express Credit Cards page with the latest sing-up deals – a great way to quickly earn some Membership Rewards points that you can then convert to other airline programs, such as British Airways Avios.

I’ve also summarised these offers below.

52,000 Bonus Membership Reward Points with the American Express Platinum Card

22,000 Bonus Membership Reward Points with the American Express Gold Card

26,000 Bonus Avios with the British Airways American Express Premium Plus Credit Card

Please keep checking out the site as I bring you more offers.

BA Announce Sale of BMI Regional

BMI Logo British Airways have sold BMI Regional to a Scottish consortium, Sector Aviation Holdings, previously referred to as Granite Aviation for a fee of £8M

BA will be happy with this not-insignificant price, but not as happy as the 330 staff that are expected to have their jobs saved as part of the deal.

BMIBaby to be Grounded

BMI Baby

TravelMole is reporting that BMIBaby will be grounded from September, with some flights stopping next month, unless BA can find a buyer soon.

Bmibaby will be grounded from September, with some routes being stopped as early as next month, new owner IAG announced this afternoon.

The move by British Airways’ parent will affect almost 500 staff.

IAG said it was still willing to sell the East Midlands-based budget airline, but it said recently it didn’t expect to find a buyer for the carrier which is losing £25m a year.

IAG acquired bmibaby along with bmi from Lufthansa, but while bmi is being integrated into BA’s mainstream operations, BA has no desire to run the budget airline.
