BA Announces Completion of BMI Takeover

British Airways has announced the completion of the takeover of BMI and has created a new area on to share information:

Following completion today of the acquisition of bmi by British Airways’ owner, IAG, customers will have access to more destinations, better frequencies and more seats. It also means new routes and new, more convenient schedules in the future.

We are proposing to integrate bmi into British Airways, subject to the outcome of a consultation with staff and unions that is now under way.

We intend to make this period of transition as smooth as possible and will ensure that we keep you fully up to date with our progress.

We plan to operate bmi’s Heathrow summer schedule, so customers can continue to book with confidence.

There are not yet any details as to what will happen to Diamond Club, but we should find out soon:
